This image was actually taken on the Antarctic Peninsula on the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the Norwegian explorer, Roald Amundsen, arrived at the South Pole just three weeks before the ill fated British explorer, Captain Scott. So what was in the walkers mind? Are these my first steps towards the South Pole.
